Location Is More Important Than You Think
Picking the right location for a new business, home, etc. is important. If it’s your home, that will be the central hub of your life. If it’s a business or an investment, your return and profits could depend greatly on the location you choose.
Think about it this way. If you had to drive 5 extra minutes twice a day for a year, you just lost 2 ½ days of your life. I would prefer to take an extra 2 days off from work and rest, than to spend them driving there! Employees, clients, friends, family, etc. all think about the time investment required to get somewhere as well. That is part of the reason location is so important. The same home can be built in so many different places, but not every place you can build will be worth it.
I read an article in the Austin Business Journal recently that stated that people who travel 5 miles or less to their workplace, stay with their employer 20% longer. I would assume that this is because they are 20% happier, because they have 20% more time, with 20% less traffic to stress about. I think I would feel the same way.
Time is extremely valuable and something you cannot afford to waste.
If you need advice on location or other real estate related topics, give me a call. I would love to help you find what you need.
