The minute you meet Marcela Alfonsin, you know she’s not your typical agent.

Marcela was working as a social worker when she started selling real estate on the side to make some extra income.  She discovered she not only enjoyed real estate, but was very good at it. Originally from Buenos Aries, Argentina, she won over both English and Spanish-speaking clients throughout Austin and became known for her dedication to helping clients succeed.  It wasn’t long before Marcela’s real estate business grew so much that she had to choose between social work and real estate. She chose real estate.

“It excites me every day,” she said. “Social work is all about giving people the tools they need to be independent and successful. Real estate allows me to do the same thing.”

Everything Marcela does is with her clients’ best interests in mind. She listens closely to her clients and is quickly able to assess their needs, give them their options and let them choose. She is a pro at everything from finding the perfect home for her clients, to pinpointing the perfect buyers for her listings.  There is never any “fine print” with Marcela, and she is up-front and honest about what’s best for her clients, even if what’s best for her clients affects her own bottom line.

“I once talked a client out of selling her property,” Marcela said. “After she told me what she wanted, I realized she was already in the right home. We talked about options, and she realized she loves where she lives. If she had been working with another agent, she wouldn’t have her home anymore.”  Marcela, who is known for her warmth and caring spirit, enjoys talking to people, and she has been praised for her clear and consistent communication. She always keeps her clients apprised of every step and returns phone calls right away.

But for top real estate agent in Texas Marcela Alfonsin, what she offers goes beyond friendliness. She brings an acute knowledge of contracts to the table, making her someone both buyers and sellers want in their corner. “I know all the legalities and will make sure that every single piece of paperwork and aspect of negotiation is with compliance with the law,” Marcela said. “I feel super-confident talking about any contract, and I know my clients are protected.”

Marcela also appreciates the support from her brokerage, Team Price Real Estate. Though she’s very social, she has always appreciated smaller environments and intimate groups, so this father/son team is a perfect fit for her. “We’re like a family,” she said. “We’re all about service, and we know contracts back and forth. When you’ve found the right place, it’s a gift.”

Marcela also loves Austin and its laid back atmosphere, which for her, makes it easier to sell properties in the area. “In Austin, you have everything: outdoors, students, yoga, and music,” she said. “It’s an amazing city”

As Team Price Real Estate’s #1 Sales Agent for 2014 and Trulia’s Top Ranked Real Estate Agent for 2014, Marcela is poised to have her best year yet. But for her, it’s less about the sales figures and more about the success of her clients. For her, when they win, she wins.

“It’s so rewarding to be able to help people every day,” she said. “I feel so fortunate.”
