Some weekends are better than others. I've been fortunate to have been at the beach more than once this summer and host visitors that allowed me to show them a bit of what our beautiful city of
Tall Clubs International Part 2 Vegas
Dated: August 28 2018
Tall Clubs International has been the most fun I've had in a long time.
Being 6' tall from the age of 12 was not easy, but after I went to my first convention with Tall Clubs International the summer of 2017, I knew the fun was just beginning.
After the convention, I decided to join my new tall friends in Las Vegas, for their organized weekend in September. The local clubs organize fun-filled and relaxing weekends all over the country. Upon arrival, the rooftop pool was waiting, where I relaxed and enjoyed the sun with some of my new friends.
The chosen hotel was downtown, right on Fremont Street. We walked out the door and into the craziest place I've ever seen. The Fremont Experience had all kinds of street artists, from caricaturists, magicians and custom jewelry-makers to dancers, singers, and musicians playing too many different instruments to keep track of. Then there were the open bars with the choice of any drink you could want, the SlotZilla zip lining, and three or four stages with live music, from rock 'n roll to salsa, all happening at the same time.
As I walked through the street, I never tired of taking in all the entertainment and checking out the many souvenir shops and casinos on the way.
Now, to my surprise, I found an outstanding vegan restaurant about a 15-minute walk from my hotel, called VegeNation. The aesthetic was cool and clean, straight lines with metal chairs. It had some individual tables and some larger ones to share a meal with lots of friends or even strangers, if you wanted.
The food was so good that I ended up taking three different friends to try it. None of us are vegan—I’m mostly plant based and one of my friends is vegetarian—but we all loved it.
One of the times I was there, I ordered the vegan sushi. This delicious dish was prepared with different fresh veggies and wrapped in gluten free Forbidden rice. Totally scrumptious!
The gluten-free Hot Tamale was another winner, made with non-GMO masa, pumpkin, lentil mole and tomatillo salsa. And the blue corn chips and fresh guacamole was a great starter.
I tried a few other dishes, and each was better than the one before. The spicy kale salad and the zucchini spaghetti with marinara sauce completed my dining experience here. I’m looking forward to going back soon and enjoying these healthy and delicious treats again!
During this trip, I made new friends and we enjoyed good times and great food during our gala dinner too. And I like to get dressed up sometimes, as you can see below.
At the airport in Vegas, on my way home, I decided I'd be going to many more Tall Clubs weekend. Next up: Chicago!
I'd love to hear from you and answer any questions as well!
