Staging can be an important part of selling a home. I know it can be a difficult topic for some home owImage titlener’s. When you sell a home you want to get as much as you can out of if. But in the end, it can pay off to stage your home. Just like beautiful pictures, a good staging can help you sell your home quicker.


Let’s think about it this way: presentation is a huge part of a sale. If you think about just the products in your local grocery store, how much do companies spend just on the packaging for their products? Have you ever opened a bag of chips and thought (I have) it was such a big bag, and a lot of plastic for so few Image titlechips? Or have you ever bought a product and found that the actual packaging was probably more costly than the item itself. Packaging, marketing and display are huge parts of sale. That is why companies invest in them. How about websites? Have you ever been to a website that made you think, “I’m definitely going to get a virus here!”? Why do we think that? Because the website LOOKS dodgy! We judge products, people, and homes (etc.) based highly on presentation.


In the case of a home, the presentation of a home can greatly effect the sale of a home. Potential buyers need to know that they can live in your home, and that it can be THEIR home. When staging the idea is to give the potential buyer a perspective of what they could have. Also, you want to show off the good features and perks that the hImage titleome has. It’s no coincidence that one of the best renovations you can do (discussed in one of my past blogs) is to paint. So simple, yet so effective. Are you actually changing anything about the home? No. You are just making it look fresh, new and clean (having covered all the grimy fingerprints on the walls).


Staging doesn’t have to be expensive. You can stage with furniture you already have. The important thing is that it be neutral (because your style may not be theirs), you de-clutter and  inspire; make them think about the good features, and functionality of the home.
