Austin Texas Metro Market Trend
Another week is in the books. 2016 will be gone before we know it. As I mature (get older) it seems time goes by faster and faster. I remember my parents saying this 40 years back and just couldn't understand how what they were saying could be true. Just a few weeks ago I was able to celebrate my parents 63rd anniversary.
The trend that began in June continues. Inventory continues to build. We began the year with available inventory at around 5000 single family homes. The inventory level built in what I would call a normal spring trend until June when it started to escalate rapidly. Today there are 8328 single family homes for sale. The number of homes under contract and closed has remained fairly steady. Here are the numbers.
Available = 8328 Under Contract = 4656 Sold/Closed Last 30 Days = 2436
