Ever stop to wonder why change continues to happen, why something old is re-made into something new?

Well here in Austin we are no exception, we're taking an older mostly industrial section of town and turning it into a Music Row because Music is what we do here in addition to Technology, Politics and lots of Food.

At South Congress and St. Elmo there is a more than 8-acre industrial parcel, known as The Yard by ZIR Investment Group, that is being repurposed.  Music venues and a public market on par with Pike Place in Seattle or Quincy Market in Boston. The owners of popular Austin live music venue The Saxon Pub on South Lamar are among those with eyes on the property. The project also will contain condo's, creative office space as well as a boutique hotel.

This is the kind of change that makes me proud to be part of this city.
