The Alamo Drafthouse is not only a place for adults to enjoy dinner, and a movie...  My wife and I took the kids to see 'Thomas the Train'  over the weekend. It was their first movie and we were a bit apprehensive.  It turned out to be a super relaxed, friendly environment that allowed the kids to enjoy the movie without us having to worry about disrupting others.  We all enjoyed the popcorn, drinks and lunch - and maybe a Bloody Mary or two. It was a great place for the kids to experience a movie theater. I highly recommend it.

The Alamo Drafthouse and PBS KIDS are teaming up to present family screenings of PBS KIDS’, with a donation of only $1-3, with all ticket sales benefiting education programs at your local PBS station, KLRU-TV.  This is an all-ages show with Baby Day rules – noisy young ones won’t be asked to leave the theater but cellphones and other devices must stay dark.  For more info about these screenings, you can visit the Alamo Drafthouse Austin website.
