Just a few months ago it looked like the single family homes market was tempering a bit, not now. The statistics show a clear tightening overall. Today for the first time (since I have been tracking) the number of homes under contract pushed above 5000!
If you are considering buying a home in the Austin Texa Metro this year you need to connect with a full time REALTOR® . If a great home becomes available today you need to see that home today ASAP. Having to wait for any reason will likely leave you out in the cold. I helped two different clients this week see homes within hours of the homes being available. Both times the listing agent was still at the house putting on the lock box, sign or fliers! One client couldn't make it to the house so we used "Facetime" to share detailed information regarding condition that the listing pictures don't show.
