I guess I get to claim that I am ‘young at heart’. The daily electronic news update called ‘THE SKIMM’ was started by a couple of news producers that claimed to be targeting female millennials as their primary audience…AND I LOVE THE SKIMM! Hence, I must be young at heart because I certainly do not get to technically claim to be a millennial based on my age!
If you have not read or subscribed to The Skimm, YOU MUST! It rocks! It basically takes a daily look at all the news in the world and provides its readers the general lay of the land every morning. It is not only a quick, easy read (I literally timed myself reading it this morning – 3 minutes start to finish) but it really ‘makes it easier to be smarter’. It helps readers stay informed of top stories without reading a novel. It gives me insight to important topics for my clients when buying and selling homes....and much, much more!
The Skimm breaks the latest events into snippets in a very WITTY and SASSY way. The play on words is brilliant. While some of the critics of The Skimm says the tone of the publication turns important events into ‘…cocktail party chit chat…’, I personally find it entertaining. And, I frequently find myself chuckling when I catch one of the ‘funnies’.
