Looking for ways to keep your kiddos entertained while staying sane over the summer? Below is a list of a few Summer Camps offered in Northwest Austin, Cedar Park, and Leander. 


eDiscovery Center Summer STEM Program

Certified teachers lead hands-on programs on science, technology, engineering and math. The programs emphasize creativity, critical thinking, and team work.

Ages - 1st - 5th grades; Dates - June 13-16, 20-23; Hours - 8am - Noon; Cost - $170

Leander ISD Academic Camps

The school district hosts camps for students. Subjects like American Sign Language, creative writing, geography, math, Spanish, U.S. History and World History, All camps are open to students within Leander ISD, and some are open to students outside the district. 

Ages - 7-15; Dates - Five Day camps June 6-Aug. 19; Hours - 9-11am or 5-7pm.; Cost - Starts at $189 per week

Moolah U

Children and teenagers receive introductions to financial stewardship, business management, and leadership. Camps give participants hands-on experience making business and marketing plans, developing products and tracking expenses. Students earn and keep real profits.

Ages - 7-16; Dates - five-day camps June 27-Aug. 19; Hours - 9am - 3:30pm (extended care is available); Cost - $300 per camp plus $40 for lunches

ART plus Academy

Art instructors aim to help students improve their drawing and painting skills. Camps include different art themes and genres each week,m including collages, dinosaurs, horses, landscapes, mixed media, monsters, outer space, and wild animals.

Ages - 5-17; Dates - five day camps June 6 - Aug.19; Hours - 9am - noon or 2 - 5pm; Cost $180 per camp (plus$25 supply fee)

Camp Creativity

The camp focuses on art, music, and sewing. 

Ages - 6-11; Dates - two-week camps June 13 - Aug. 19; Hours - vary by camp; Cost - $100-$225 per week (discounts available for multiple camps)

Austin Dog Alliance

All About Puppies and All About Dogs camps include pet lessons, games, and crafts. Bring Your Dog To Camp allows participants to bring their own dogs or borrow from the organization, and learn about dog training, dog games, and veterinary care. Agility camps and Advance Dog Sports camps emphasize dog training and tricks. Children with high functioning Autism can participate in separate All About Dog camps. 

Ages - 5-15 Vary per camp; Dates - 4 and 5 day camps June 6- Aug. 11; Hours - Camps available from 9am - 4pm, times vary per camp; Cost - $175-$425 costs vary per camp

Leander Parks and Recreation Department

Play-Well instructors teach campers to use Lego bricks to build engineering projects with different themes, such as art, science, Jedi knights from "Star Wars" and superheroes. 

Ages - 5-12; Dates - June 11 - Aug 12; Hours - 9am - noon or 1 - 4pm; Costs - $100 - $155 per week (half day camps), $185 per week (full day camps)

Snapology of Cedar Park

Campers are taught about subjects such as animation, computer programming, engineering, and robotics using Lego bricks. Themes include "Minecraft", superheroes and "Star Wars." 

Ages - 5-12; Dates - 5 Day camps from June 6 - Aug. 21; Hours - 6:30a - 6:30p; Cost - $130 per week

Center Stage Dance Studio

Camps include dance intensives as well as training in cheerleading and musical theater. A princess-themed camp is also offered.

Ages - 4-18; Dates - 3 & 5 day camps available from June 20 - July 22; Hours - 9am - noon or 12:30 - 3:30pm; Cost - $95 for 3 day camps & $150 for 5 day camps

Little Actors Theater Camp

Campers participate in a pirate-themed camp taught by Cedar Park High School theater students who train campers in acting, character development, costumes, dance, improvisation, rehearsal and set design. The camp ends with a free performance June 9 at 6:30pm. Students are given snacks, but must bring their own sack lunches. 

Ages - K - 6th grades; Dates - June 6-9; Hours - 9am  - 2pm; Cost - $145 (before May 11), $165 (between May 11-26)

Velocity Music Academy

Camps teach beginner-level courses on instruments such as guitar, piano, and violin as well as themes such as dance, jazz, rock, singing and songwriting. 

Ages - 5 & older; Dates - 5 day camps from June 6 - Aug. 19; Hours - 9am - noon or 1-4pm; Cost $160 per week

Brandy Perryman Shooting Camp

Children learn basketball skills through drills and games while focusing on shooting. 

Ages - 7-16; Dates - July 25-28; Hours - 8:45am - 4:45pm; Cost - $225

British Soccer Camps

Camps teach soccer according to British rules. Instructors teach foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, coached scrimmages and tournament play. Campers also learn game values, such as respect and responsibility. 

Ages - 3-16; Dates - 5 Day Half and Full Day camps from June 6-Aug. 19; Hours - 8am - 8:30pm times vary depending on camp and location; Cost - $105 - $279 depending on camp and location
