It all began at Burning Man, We had a had fasting on Friday and got pregnant on Saturday. Magic happening each and every day we were there.
How does this relate to our new house you may be asking yourself, well let me tell you this. When a woman is pregnant it's always a good thing to do all that you can to appease her desires and in this case, she wanted nature and a yard. So after touring around the West coast, through Utah, Colorado and lastly a family visit in Kansas, we finally made it back home to the ATX. High on the list of things to do was to find this perfect new spot which for me was not to far from town and for her was surrounded by nature. We weren't sure if we were gong to buy or rent at this point and had seen a lease listing just a few miles from where we were living. This home was in a col de sac that opened up into Mckinney Falls State Park. It worked well with both nature and yard but it was about one bedroom shy of what our ideal space would be. It being a newly built home in a community obviously still under construction I decided to head to the sales office on site and find out more about this product. A delightful sales rep was there, who shared the same name as my brother. We sat and chatted with Michael about what we'd seen and what we desired. It so turns out that the home right next door had just come back on the market and was available for sale. We had to take a look so off we went, we actually saw a few of the homes in the immediate area but the one right next door was a perfect fit. The yard was even better than the rental, it had all the rooms we needed and it charged us emotionally as a great place to live and raise our daughter.
It's a now a few months later and while it was a rocky road we traversed to get here, fraught with numerous lending obstacles we finally made it to closing. The house is coming along nicely and a couple of our close friends are moving in across the street. We went on our first nature walk earlier this week, It was magical. We love living at The Reserve at McKinney Falls. There are many more homes coming available soon, a community pool is in the works and much more. There's even going to be a new shopping center less than a mile a way but it won't effect our nature preserve that nearly surrounds us. We're so excited to watch new life blossom all around us. Maybe you too will join us here one day. Hope to see you on the trails or at the pool!

"Violet Leff was extremely helpful on our journey to finding a new home. She took us around and showed us a wealth of different properties that were well within our budget and ideal requirements. She set up multiple portals for various sections of Austin, so we could price compare based on neighborhood. She was excellent at offering us guidance as to that types of homes we would find in each area, pros and cons, etc. Overall, it was a very positive experience. Thanks Violet!
